Two Views
A promise of the future,
The history of a past,
Two choices in one picture,
Two actions for the cast
One believes it has purpose,
One worries it could fail,
Both its enemies oppose,
Both would Truth prevail.
If one of them is hopeful
And the other afraid,
Who is apt to be doleful,
Who with faith that won't fade?
If in hard times you could choose
The one to stand by you,
Hold fast the one to refuse
Divergent points of view.
