Muse Music
Poetry requires no one to explain it
And water needs no cup to contain it,
Trips to the river to lie down for drink
As incommodious as refusals to think
About the virtue of banks to a stream
Or the beauty of form in a bard's dream.
A poem requires no meter to restrain it,
Decrying aid for the reader to retain it.
Patterned repetition avoid like perdition?
Rhythmic rendition, to passion, sedition?
Freedom, it's the bard's right, say you?
True, like the water in your cup is, too!
