Hymn to the Sun
The blushing pastels of eager first light,
Unabashed blooms of an arbor in
May,
A
frenzied farewell from frustrated night
Prepare for the aegis of Nature's foray.
Brushstrokes feathering far into the gray
Backgrounds, pinkish-pale crimsons delay
The entrance, the sun's crowning of day,
Exploding vestigial dark tones away...
A glorious dawn
engulfs sound and sight,
Prismatic perfection put on display,
Mother Nature negating nocturnal blight!
